US government to begin processing unemployment applications this week

In the last week, the US government has processed nearly 100,000 applications for unemployment benefits, the third-highest number in more than five years.

In a statement, the White House said the new application system was meant to allow the public to see the full picture of the job market, including whether the job is part-time, temporary or full-time.

It also includes information on the type of job, whether it’s part- time or permanent, the length of the work experience, and how long it took to secure a job.

The government is working on a second round of unemployment applications, to be completed by the end of the month, the statement said.

The White House also said it will be launching an online tool that allows people to find jobs that match their skills, education and work history.
